The Project implementation unit organized a training for component coordinating consultants and working group members on March 13, 2018. The purpose of the training was to ensure that project implementing personnel are aware of all adhered documents and implementation procedures, to support the professional effectiveness of the meetings conducted between World Bank mission and Beneficiary leads and promptly implement the project to achieve the intended target.

The State Secretary of the Ministry of Finance, Project Director Mr. S. Narantsogt and Advisor to the Finance Minister Mr. K. Demberel have been introduced to the current implementation progress and plan for 2018 of the two ongoing World Bank projects implemented by the Ministry of Finance “Export Development Project” and “Strengthening Fiscal and Financial Stability Project” and provided specific guidance.

The Strengthening Fiscal and Financial Stability Project has 5 main components and 15 sub-components. The project is being implemented at 26 departments and divisions of the Ministry of Finance, the Ministry of Labor and Social Protection, the Bank of Mongolia and the Financial Regulatory Commission.

Project introductory event was held on November 3, 2017. After the opening ceremony, a technical meeting and round table discussion was held with each component with their relevant World Bank component experts on the development of the procurement plan and work plan. As a result of this meeting, the work plan has been successfully initiated.

The Government of Mongolia has received a Credit from the World bank group for a “Strengthening Fiscal and Financial Stability Project”. The project introductory launch was held successfully by the Ministry of Finance and the World Bank.
