IMPLEMENTING ELECTRONIC TRANSACTION VERIFICATION DIRECTORY TO DIGITIZE TREASURY PAYMENT PROCESS

THE BENEFICIARY UTILIZES MATHEMATICAL MODELLING FOR THE INCREASED EFFICACY OF FISCAL POLICY FORMULATION

Within the Strengthening Fiscal and Financial Stability Project, concerted efforts for improving MACROECONOMIC POLICY TOOLS AND ENHANCING THE RESEARCH CAPACITY have been conducted. With the project support, the Macroeconomic Policy Division (the Economic Policy Department) of the Ministry of Finance has increased the utilization of mathematical modeling for the efficacy of fiscal policy formulation as one of the beneficiary agencies. 

AN ONLINE MEETING WAS HELD AT THE REQUEST OF THE WORLD BANK TO DISCUSS THE IMPLEMENTATION OF THE COMPONENT TO STRENGTHEN SOCIAL PROTECTION SYSTEM

An online meeting was held on May 13, 2021, at the World Bank's request with the purpose to accelerate the implementation of the objectives of component D, "Strengthening the social protection system" of the "Strengthening Fiscal and Financial Stability" project.

ONLINE TRAINING SESSIONS WERE HELD TO INTRODUCE THE REGULATION ON GOVERNMENT FOREIGN LOANS AND THE INTEGRATED INFORMATION SYSTEM

Development Financing Department of Ministry of Finance of Mongolia has successfully conducted online training on April 29-30, 2021 for revision of “Regulation on the utilization of Government foreign loan proceeds, implementation, administration, financing, monitoring and evaluation of projects funded by these proceeds” approved by the Finance Minister’s order No.4 dated January 11, 2021, and the “Government foreign loan and aid management information system” (www.odamis.mof.gov.mn).

E-PROCUREMENT SYSTEM IS NOW INTEGRATED WITH COURT REFERENCE SYSTEMS

The SFFS project is supporting the government's effort to digitalize public procurement. E-GP system has gradually been connected to databases administered by other government agencies to make a capacity assessment of participating bidders in e-bidding simpler. Exchanging bidders' reference and background information electronically from other government agencies saves time and cost for bidders that they spent in compiling required documents otherwise and preventing the potential submission of falsified documents by the bidders.   

INTEGRATED PAYROLL SYSTEM HAS STARTED TRANSFERING PAYROLL JOURNAL ENTRIES WITH BUDGET ENTITIES’ FINANCAIL ACCOUNTING SYSTEMS

Within the framework of the SFFS project, the Ministry of Finance has implemented Integrated Payroll System (IPS) for civil servants to conduct real-time analysis of the job and salary information to improve the planning of payroll expenses and monitoring their performance, and access accurate quantitative information on total employees working in affiliated organizations.

SOCIAL WELFARE E-SERVICE SYSTEM EHALAMJ.MN HAS BEEN LAUNCHED

One of the main objectives of strengthening the social protection system is to digitalize the social welfare services and increase their transparency, promptness, and accessibility within the framework of the “E-Mongolia” program implemented by the Government of Mongolia.  In line with this objective, the “Strengthening Fiscal and Financial Stability Project,” jointly implemented by the Ministry of Finance and the World Bank, is aiming to improve the information and technology system and resources of the Ministry of Labor and Social Protection by organizing a nationwide capacity-building program.
